My older brother who is also a doctor insisted that I go in for a weight loss programme, as it would also affect my health in the long run. Infact, it was he who zeroed down on Bodyworks and accordingly I fixed an appointment with Ms.Venu Hirani. I was not too enthusiastic about it, as I had been to other dieticians too. My family was... quite sure that I would quit it within a couple of days & I was quite doubtful I would last long. My first consultation seemed quite positive and the diet chart infact looked like I would be eating more than my usual. But more importantly it meant I would having my meals on time. I have stuck on to the programme and for the first time since my progressive weight gain in the last 10 years, I lost 10 kgs in 4 months. It felt nice to be able to get back into my old suits. The weight loss is only due to a proper meal plan and brisk walking everyday. The health issues like skin problems, acidity stopped affecting me, as the causes and solutions to it were found out. And it felt good to be able to see the changes in my medical checkups within a span of 4 months. I had earlier consulted doctors who strongly recommended biatric surgery, and I am happy that I didn’t even think of resorting to that medium of medicine. Earlier I used to pop in medicines without thinking, but now I have been off my acidity tablets for more than 2 months. All in all, in addition to feeling lighter, energetic, having more stamina during my outings, things like high sugar, high cholesterol have also been resolved. I do not feel as if I am being deprived in my food. And I surely cannot think of going back to my old lifestyle. Its been worth it.
